HOW THEY ARE MADE

All these creatures are made in my workshop here on the Isle of Mull, from earthenware clay which is rolled, cajoled, pinched and prodded into shape before being fired for the first time.  Then they are glazed - painted by hand - and re-fired.  By using earthenware clay instead of stoneware, I am able to use bright colours that would not work when fired to higher temperatures.
